The SBRC Story
So far....

Hey!
Im Conor 😀 I am the owner, lead designer, head of marketing, social media co-ordinator, order packer, shipping handler, coffee maker and everything in-between.
I started SBRC in may 2023 as project in my spare time not really having any idea where I wanted to go with it. At first I was just looking for somthing I could do on the side but seeing the first few people use my products sparked a real passion inside me for creating things for others to use and enjoy.

From Humble Beginnings
I started SBRC on etsy and sales were few and far between in the first 6 months. I remember reading somewhere that most businesses dont even make a profit in the first year and 25% of small businesses fail in that time. I didnt let this discourage me and I pressed on trying to create new products whenever I could.

February 3rd 2024
The first store milestone came in February when I earned the Etsy star seller badge for the first time! I was super excited about this and was determined to keep it.
Well... It didnt last long. Etsy took away my star seller badge 2 months later because I deleted a scam bot message instead of marking it as spam and it brought my message response rate below the threshold. I tried to tell etsy support that it was a mistake and was unfair to take away my badge but they did it anyway. BOOO. 😫
Not to worry, I regained my badge the next month and have held on to it since 😁

9 months into the journey and I hit the 100 sales milestone on the Etsy store! I was super excited about this and it gave me all the motivation I needed to keep working on the store whenever I could.
On the very same day I had my first wholesale enquiry from a Journal supply store in South Korea! SBRC GOIN' GLOBAL!
As you can Imagine I was pretty excited about this.

Not long after SBRC's first birthday we hit the next big milestone! 200 sales on the Etsy store! 🎉 It took us 9 months to hit 100 and we rocketed past 200 in just 3 more months!

NEW PRODUCTS! I decided to ensure the business can can grow we needed more product variety, I wanted to create something that could be used along side our print pads to compliment each other... So after weeks of prep and design work the first batch of SBRC PET Tapes were brought to life! I was so excited to see these in person and couldn't wait to receive them from the manufacturer, It felt like Christmas came early!

December 2024
What a year its been, SBRC has made so much progress since it started in 2023. We recently released our 100th decorative paper print pad which seems pretty crazy to me. This was a goal of mine when I first started as 100 seemed like a nice round number and a big goal to motivate me to keep going. Some days I feel like I'm running out of theme ideas but there is always inspiration out there to be found.

March 2025
Wow, 1000 sales on our etsy store! This feels like such a huge milestone for the store and I cant believe that it has come this far. We did about 200/300 sales in our first 18 months and then in just 9 months we did over 700! Its so great to see the progress SBRC has made over the last 2 years and I cant wait to see what the next few years holds!

May 2025
Its been a great start to 2025 for SBRC, We want to say a huge thank you to all the other craft stores out there that have purchased our products to sell!
Big shout out to Torn Paper and Journal around in South Korea, Fanoshop and Toeboys Craft Oy in Finland and Papirglede in Norway.
Its so great to see that our products are being used and enjoyed around the world! I never would have thought I would be selling SBRC's products internationally when I first started.
Meet the rest of the team!
